Nice, but outdated
We have lived here for over 2 years. The place is nice, but the apartment is having a lot of problems. Our fridge keeps breaking and leaking water, but even if we get it fixed it just breaks again. The elevators break constantly. The washer/dryer break sometimes and it would be nice to be able to use a card instead of quarters, Overall not a bad place to live, but could use various improvements.
Basic Living Apartments
The facilities are mostly what you might expect from complex in the area. there is a good amount of space offered in a suite, though the floorplans are cramped to the point were furnishing the place will sacrifice maneuverability greatly. there's a greater amount of kitchen space than is normal for most apartments in the area, the stove is also full sized, garbage disposal and other appliances are included as well. Facilities are kept mostly clean, worst issues we ever had with bugs were fruit flies though it was a constant presence and was difficult to keep under control even with weekly trash removal and bug spray. There is off street and garage parking which is a great option to have for winters in Wisconsin, but the lower garage roof leaks at the supports and slightly floods quickly. This is not a good location for residents who can't handle noise. For starters it is directly between garbage truck pickup and the local firestation and the busy capitol dr. runs past them both. These things probably aren't terrible in most complexes, but the walls are paper thin and don't do much to muffle noise. You can hear your neighbors moving from down the hall so the constantly arguing couple directly above us could be heard clearly almost every night. The managers try to curb this by setting a 'quiet time' curfew that starts at 10pm, but there isn't much they will do to enforce it. My roommate complained that someone was constantly using the drier on our floor after curfew (they are located near apartments closest to the fire stairs and can be quite loud so management had already posted not to use them after curfew before the complaint). An email was sent out the next morning, but only the courteous residents followed it as it's on the residents to prove who is actually breaking the curfew. For me the boiler was the worse of noise, in the winter it sounds as though someone was drilling constantly directly outside of my window well into the night,
