Poor managment, terrible cleanliness

Place has black mold in every apartment. They placed 4 late fees and a cleaning fee after I left. The apartment manager told me she wasn't going to charge me a cleaning fee during my closing walk. They never fixed my leaking toilet or my closet after I reported it.

Location

It is right in the center of university place and within walking distance of several stores. There is som noise from the street or the occasional night-time speeder, but otherwise its pretty quiet. It heats really nice in the winter, hot summers are a bit more difficult. Staff is responsive and maintenance is generally pretty reliable. It may be just me, but ants seems to get in everywhere. Occasionally I get a big batch at once (usually after I bake and they smell it), I spray raid all over, along creases and doorframes, anywhere they can get in. I still find one or two brave ones wandering about every other day. It's not a major inconvenience, more like "oh. another one". Parking is a bit awkward, but its really nice to have a spot right out the door. My biggest con is that the kitchen is cramped. All the drawers and the oven barely open without hitting anything. The fridge is massive and it hits the dishwasher if you try to open it too far. I swivel in place to access everything, while cooking. which can be a plus. Unfortunately, I can't see the living room from the kitchen, so I can't watch shows while I cook or bake. I'm nitpicking. The apartment is very nice. Nice new wood(laminate?) floors. Nice carpet in the bedroom. A balcony/patio depending on your unit. Reliable hot water. Plentiful space for a 1 bedroom. 1520 a month (rent+water+garbage) isn't half bad if you work nearby. Location sells this place. Walking distance for many destinations and a bus stop right outside that's hard to miss. If you make steady money and this is close to your work, I'd recommend it.
