As a senior-citizen resident, living here at "Met Spires Towers" for 4-years now, I'm renewing my lease for another year. As a resident of this apartment complex, I remain very appreciative of the many attributes this property affords to its residents. Over recent years, though, my main concerns lie in the continuous "musical chairs" of apartment managerial and maintenance staffing changes -- and at times, even turmoil. Sadly, this once fine property has not been adequately maintained from daily maintenance and upkeep standards, to the timely and effective handling of property structure breakdowns be it water damage, elevators, amenity upgrades, lighting fixture replacement, interior painting and decoration, etc., etc. As a concerned and conscientious resident, I've communicated my concerns on numerous occasions over recent years, both verbally and through detailed e-mail correspondence to both "Avenue 5 principals" as well as "Met Spires Towers" management personnel. Today, I remain one of many residents of this apartment complex who sincerely hopes for resident-wide, common-space improvements to be made over time -- thereby returning this once fine property to a more prideful resident living space that will gain additional respectability by its residents.

Ive lived here for two years and the people in my community are the reason I will continue to stay. My neighbors are always respectful and kind, and are quick to share local news with me. While there are always issues with living in a city, im very happy to be here.

This building used to let you park in the garage for free, and gave you free internet/cable. Now you have to pay for both and don't have a choice of internet speeds. Many amenities can't be accessed when they are supposed to be open, and amenities have been taken away, like one of the gyms and the outdoor pool. Office staff at times have been helpful and other times very unhelpful. My apartment itself seems like it was hastily built, there are gaps in the siding and flooring in places, and I can't open my drawers in my fridge because the door is so close to the wall, it can't open all the way. My dishwasher's filter was filthy when I moved in. The building is in a good part of town though, lots of fun stuff to do in the area.

Love living here - wish Avenue 5 would do better about the security issues for their residents, but it is also partly the neighborhood too. Rent is still outrageous, but it's that way everywhere. I've never lived somewhere that charges "other reimbursed" monthly, with no explanation for what it is being charged for. Office staff and maintenance are well balanced now, and it would be great if there were better follow up on some of the cosmetics. It's weird to have half painted wall right outside the office by the elevators. What were they thinking? It's an eye sore to be real. Minor stuff compared to some of the other things that could be much worse. Working security cameras on all entrances would be really nice. Appreciate the new main office look, and it's kept clean too. People who live here are friendly with each other, which is also nice.
