Overlook At Westridge

Sure their amenities seem amazing on the surface. Then you rent from them and realize they purposefully show you the best unit which features new appliances and sink, and is located right next to the parking lot. There’s amble parking but most of us have to climb very steep staircases to get to the lot and take out the garbage. I’m pretty offended by how different my actual unit is compared to the one they showed. I even asked if I could actually see the one I would be renting and feel so tricked. Then to top it off, the gym, community space, and the pool are virtually inaccessible due to the fact that the company only allows us to use them when their staff is here which is very inconvenient for anyone working a regular job. I feel like we pay a good chunk of our rent toward those amenities and should get to actually benefit from them. It’s just an all around bummer.

We need access to pool and fitness center outside of office hours.

Great place to live. I just wish I'd known before choosing this place that the pool and gym room are only open when the main office is open. Id like to work out before or after work, but the gym is closed then. And the pool is only open for a very short period of time in the summer making it impossible to enjoy it without it being full of children. By all means, let the kids play. But also being open while school aged children are in school and/or having adult swim hours would be nice.

I’ve had a mostly positive experience at Overlook, with some weird things I haven’t dealt with at previous apartment complexes (i.e., extremely limited pool access, having inspections for all residents at least 5 times a year, etc.). Beyond things like that, I haven’t had any bad experiences with management, maintenance, neighbors, or anyone else. It seems like everyone is working with what they’ve got & doing their best.

All in all, this is a wonderful place to live. My only complaints are that the gym and pool are only open during office hours, and those are the hours a lot of us are at work.

Staff and maintance crew are great aside from a few violation emails sent to us mistakenly, but it was sorted out fast and smooth. The apartment is nice with a heater in each individual room, but sadly someone decided heat simply doesn't exist in WA so no air of any kind. Be prepared to buy fans, and be aware you are limited to what you can and can't do. Things kind of fell into disarray for a few months, but the new staff has been doing their best to clean things up and ensure rules are being followed. Noise wise, there are kids who tend to wander around either hollering or screeching, so it may be difficult to get sleep if you're an overnighter. Also, despite the pool amenities not being accessible for the past year due to the viruses people are spreading and the remodel that has relocated the office thus rendering it unusable, you will still be paying for it. Oh, last thing, none of the floors(if carpeted) are level with the trim, so expect any shelves, stands, lamps, or various furniture to have a tilt if you want them snug to the wall. All that aside, looking forwards to another year at the complex!
