Quiet Neighbors, Loud Neighborhood

This is an older apartment complex where the renters keep to themselves or are generally neighborly. I've had no problems with close neighbors and several have been friendly. The surrounding neighborhood can be very loud - lots of frat activity with music blasting in the afternoons / evenings and there have been very large fireworks / bottle rockets at random times, sometimes as late as 1 or 2 am, as loud as gunshots. The space probably needs an update for the rent - baseboard heating, water heater, and laundry room are very basic but functional for most things. Kitchen is small and some ingenuity is necessary for anything more complicated than heating up soup or making a pizza. Overall staff are friendly and quick to resolve repair needs.
