This place is a joke

If ypu want a stress free place to live this place is not for you. They are money hungry. Theres no grace period with rent its due the first or you get slapped with a late fee midnight the second. Theres no amenit, staff is rude, UPA is jo help, maintenance never knows what they are doing, things are constantly breaking and not being foxed properly, you only get the office two days a week so hopefully your problems fall on those days. They are constantly coming on for inspections, they have no problem walking on on minors that are home alone and brush it off like its nothing. Pretty sutr they are breaking multiple laws and someone needs to come in and do a long deep inspection on them. Fair housing and the city really need to get on here ASAP

No Major Complaints

Speaking from the experience of a single, low-maintenance man. The rent seems reasonable considering the proximity to my job, town center, and the oceanfront. The staff is only on-site two days a week which causes some frustration with response time and misses the mark with any feelings of "community." If you don't care about that, its negligible. The property is kept up to a basic standard, but some preventative maintenance is left unaddressed and is noticeable. The location is away from the main boulevard which is awesome because you are not assaulted with noise pollution, and are still in a very central location. Kids roam free, but are mostly respectable and the adults are cordial. I feel no severe need to relocate.

Just pick somewhere else to rent

I have lived here for 6 years, and I can say that I do not enjoy living here. The apartments are old and very out of date. 75% of the outlets in my apartment won't hold a plug. There are water stains on my ceiling. In these six years, this property has had six different property managers. One of them stole thousands of dollars from residents. One left after a few short weeks because this property is a nightmare. For six years, I have been complaining about my HVAC unit. They would send "technicians" to look at it, and they would all say it's fine. Well, it wasn't fine. My apartment would get up to 80°+ in the summer, and my power bill would be over $200. I came to find out that the property installed a new indoor unit that wasn't compatible with the 20 year old outdoor unit. In addition, the indoor unit ran on a different refrigerant. Even their head of maintenance, Big Mike, as they call him, called me to say, "It's fine it's 68° in the apartment." He was reading the setpoint on the thermostat, not the 75° it was actually in the apartment. I had to do my own research and present it to the manager to even get them to consider replacing the outdoor unit. After 5 years, they finally replaced the outdoor unit but never serviced the indoor unit. I am still waiting to hear about how they will be reimbursing me for the hundreds of dollars I spent on my power bill because of their lack of attention. To this day, I still have an HVAC system that does not function properly, and I seriously doubt anything will really be done about it. The current staff are extremely rude, disrespectful, and lazy. They laugh at you if you attempt to argue with them about anything, even if they are in the wrong. United Property Associates does not care about their residents one bit. The owner of these apartments needs to find a new management company.
