If you're thinking of renting at Legends at River Oaks, please read this. I lived in Unit #333 and got extremely sick—sinus issues, headaches, watery eyes, congestion—all of which started after moving in. The apartment smelled heavily of deodorizer at first, which I now believe was covering up mold. Eventually, I discovered a disgusting mold growth behind a TV that had been leaning against the wall. The wall was wet, the paint distorted, and the carpet beneath was stained black. Maintenance confirmed the unit had a history of water damage and prior mold. Yet, instead of properly fixing it, they just ran a high-powered fan and told me to stay out of the room. I requested professional remediation and air testing. Management refused. I was told I’d have to pay for it myself, even though the leak and damage were caused by building issues. I paid for professional mold testing myself. The results showed Chaetomium, Aspergillus, and Hyphal Fragments—all toxic. I brought this to staff, including Natalie Edwards, and was met with indifference and flat refusals to take action. They wouldn't even clean the carpets or wipe the walls. Even when the carpet remained wet days later, they insisted the issue was resolved. They also tried to charge me for broken blinds at move-out—blinds that were already falling apart when I moved in. That was the final insult. I’ve never felt so disregarded. This was more than bad service—it affected my health and my ability to feel safe in my own home. The level of negligence here, in my opinion, was staggering. I strongly urge anyone considering this place to look elsewhere. There are far better, safer options in the area where tenants are actually treated like human beings.

I recently moved out of my apartment after five years of living there. I moved because I purchased at house. I wanted to say in all possible ways I loved living there and I was particularly appreciative of the staff. Everyone was always friendly and helpful. The maintenance teams keeps things in order and the grounds cleans. No better apartment complex can be found.

I want to take a moment to recognize Jeff, one of the apartment maintenance workers. He has consistently impressed me with his professionalism and courtesy. Every time he comes to help, he knocks and announces himself, which I really appreciate. Recently, he took the time to thoroughly troubleshoot my washer as well as help clean the water that leaked allover the floor into other areas of the apartment. Whenever there is issues with anything, he is always ensuring everything was working perfectly before he left. His attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile do not go unnoticed. I sincerely hope he is compensated fairly—at least $55 an hour—because I truly want him to continue being my maintenance worker for a long time to come. Thank you, Jeff, for your outstanding service!

You are looking at this because you are considering it. I have been here 2 years and it isn't perfection but don't listen to the disgruntled people reviews. This is a diverse community. Lots of dogs. And one might occasionally get a rotten neighbor. In apartments you must live and let live. I haven't found the office staff to be rude or mean. But they have rules from corporate that they have to stick to. Just be firm and nice and talk to the HEAD person, they will work with you. C'mon you know that's the way it has to be. My apartment is "fine" - I do hate the noise in breezeways , but I'm working on it. The grounds are very well kept and that is the reason I stay! Raphael is now my friend and I love seeing him as I walk my dog. I would like them to open the second pool, seems like a "value" issue that needs attention. All in all, this place is a gem in Salt Lake County. I'm from Tennessee originally and I can relax with the trees and grass here and the AMAZING dog park. I had lunch in the gazebo next to the playground and MUST mention the Jordon River Trail is across the street. We are surrounded by a golf course and on a dead end street. QUIET is the best part. Don't dismiss this property, it really is a special place in the area.
