When we began looking for a new residence after my retirement, we had no idea Avalon Estates existed. But we believe that providentially, we were led by the Lord to drive by your townhome community, the result being now 10 months of wonderful staff interactions and accomodations as well as neighbors who are now friends!

Overall, our experience here hasn’t been bad, however there have been some sources of frustration. For example, there are many residents who are blatantly breaking their leases- quiet hours not being followed or considered, bikes and toys left all over the sidewalks and parking lot, fireworks, and camp fires are just a few examples. When it came to rating the amenities, I rated it lower because there really aren’t many amenities here. Our rent is increasing every year, yet there haven’t been any improvements or changes to the properties. Maintenance takes a long time to get out here and things often go ignored when they do. For example, I put a maintenance request in to get our window screens put back on two windows months ago and it still has not been done. Finally, this place was advertised as pet friendly and the lease lays out requirements for having a pet, yet when I inquired about getting a form for a pet a few years ago I was told that pets are no longer allowed. This has not been communicated to the residents and other residents have gotten pets in the same row of our unit. Why were we denied but other residents have not been? And if so, why does our lease still have a section on pets and why does the website still advertise Avalon Townhomes as pet friendly?

We have loved every bit of the last 3 years here. Neighbors are very friendly, but houses are very soundproof and barely ever hear next door neighbors. Staff is very friendly and maintenance is so fast as well as good.
