Disappointing but adequate

As previously noted, we pay a premium price for secure and convenient parking, and, for over five weeks, neither has been provided (my car was rifled through while I was visiting home, and I filed a police report). At some point, “we apologize” isn’t adequate- as a professional organization, some manner of either result or tangible compensation for those affected should be provided to the customer. Regarding amenities, “COVID bars all recreation facilities” is fairly weak after nearly a year- locking up the BBQ with a bike chain is just petty when no one is or has been grilling in January. The dog park is why I chose the Douglas, so I still enjoy it. I would be curious to see if a non COVID year could make the amenities any better. It is again indicative of previous management that rent remained the same even as almost all amenities disappeared. Maintenance has always fixed my concerns, with the exception of emptying the trash on the terrace in a regular manner (as in, several weeks go by without it occurring). I also question the frequency of landscaping. I’m not certain why a separate door was added to the BBQ area, which is, again... locked with a bike chain (ie, preventing normal movement from A to B) The staff is always kind, but seemingly unable to affect any actual change; their hands seem perpetually tied by higher ups. I believe they do their best. I do appreciate the location and rarely have noise concerns. In summary, the overall value is questionable, but I’m unlikely to leave due to location. I would simply hope for more professionalism from the new management, unless they wish to remain known for a level of disappointing but mostly adequate.
