As a bery longtime resident, New ownership and new management have changed the care the residents currently receive not to mention the many problems with elevators and doors etc. not the place it used to be

Elm row has changed dramatically in the years ive been here. Pandemic changes were unavoidable, the current issues are different. New ownership and new management has altered the care the common areas receive, maintenance team is sometimes at other properties and the 24 hr maintainace line isnt always answered (unpaid bill is one reason i heard) hard to say if thats correct and questions are unreliable, depending on who you ask or even what day you ask. The elevators are a long time, well known issue (no elevator for five days recently) the laundry room door keypad is broken and no news on when itll be relaired. Seven residents were recently locked out with their laundry inside. Management has a work sround (duct tape) and a key fob should we need it, but theyre only occasionally in the office as the manager has other apartments to manage. Its quite a different place since 2025.

The Butterfly system for greeting visitors does not work and we are dependant upon a single elevator, since the second one has been non-opeational for nearly 3 months. I used to be able to submit maintenance requests, but apparently that no longer works either.

I moved into Elm Row in November 2024. Here’s what to expect: Elevators: Long wait times—up to 20 minutes—and frequent breakdowns, sometimes during move-ins. You’ll likely deal with at least one outage per week. Building Condition: The apartments are dated, and the appliances are worn out. Security: Practically nonexistent. The front door on 10th St has been broken for over two weeks. Rent & Fees: Whatever rate you agree to initially, expect to pay an extra $150–$200/month in added charges. Lease Renewal: Around the 9-month mark, expect pressure to sign another 1-year lease. If you choose to go month-to-month, they may threaten a $180 rent increase. Overall, there are better, more affordable options in the area. Rating: 2 out of 5 stars.

Elm Row is a good place to live. But, it's age is starting to show and some "good" renovation to be done. Unlike many of the prior efforts on that front.

I have lived in Elm Row since December 2023, yes, we have been through two property management companies going on our third Manager, but the building is amazing a very good community, all of my best friends live here it feels like Home to me, and it feels like it’s very high-end glamorous, which I love. Honestly I can’t think of any building in the South Park blocks. I would rather live than Elm Row and no I am not a bot.??.
