Kinda loud, but we like it

Community quiet hours don't seem to be considered by the neighbors around me, and parking can bit a nightmare after 5 pm, but that's the same story in every apartment complex. I don't like living off of Palmquist, I didn't realize the traffic was so busy and louder than I expected. The maintenance staff needs to do a better job of cleaning the units in between residence. But all in all we like it okay and our neighbors are nice, even if they are a bit noisy often.

Be wary of reactive dogs and don't expect help from office

I love the location and the maintenance crew, there are some amazing neighbors and most of those have lived there for a long time, but in the year that I lived there I started noticing more dogs that are reactive (possibly aggressive) in the complex. And a lot of these dogs are on the extensive restricted dog breed list meaning that people are getting their dogs recognized as an ESA (emotional support animal) with no real training or consideration. I have a trained and registered service animal - we were attacked by another dog that I found out months later is one of these aggressive and reactive "ESA's". Because I was quick thinking and was able to prevent a bite I got no support from Animal Control and no support from the office. The current office manager Nicola had the audacity to look me in my eyes and ask me to be nice and smile at the tenant who owns this dog that literally tries to attack my service animal EVERYTIME he sees my dog. I went as far as to change when I walked my service animal for his off-duty walks, kept him vested, carried a baton and pepper spray anytime I walked him just to relieve himself, even walked in other neighborhoods/complexes just to avoid this tenant and aggressive dog. For the last 4 months the tenant seemed to be watching when I was walking my service animal and came out to walk their dog and even would follow me - I had to resort to trying to record my walks to try and prove to the office manager that I was not over-reacting or exaggerating. CRICKETS from the office. I still never got a straight answer as to why the complex would allow a known aggressive dog identified as an ESA to still receive the accommodation to be on the property. I'm all for being understanding, sympathetic and giving grace but when someone is abusing that then they need to be held accountable for their actions. Especially when their actions (or lack of actions) affect others.
