Pretty great over all!

Some of the finishes definitely seem cheap, but over all i enjoy living here. Great location, but is on the pricey side.

Living at Velo for over a year

I have lived here for over a year now. These are new apartments, and so far they have overall been a great place to live. The amenities are average with today's market, but the location is really nice. I really enjoy being right next to the river path. I enjoy the gym and clubhouse use, and I like that the clubhouse doesn't charge to be used for events. The best units are right up against the river path, but every unit seems to have a bonus and well thought out orientation. The parking is not the best, but is to be expected in apartment life.

Velo Review

We've loved living at Velo. It's right on the river, our neighbors are great, and the units are nice with nice appliances and large windows.

strongly dont recommend

strongly recommend against velo or any avenue 5 apartments. our fridge was broken for a month and michelle was everything but helpful and kind. she was very rude to me after she got caught in a lie with her regional claiming she didn’t know the fridge was broken when i had all the maintenance request and emails between us. and in addition to that our dishwasher was broken the entire time we lived there. no one ever came to look at it, we put in a request when we first moved in and followed up months later and nothing was ever done. and when we moved out i deep cleaned every corner of that apartment and i guess they chose to have someone come in and clean and charges everyone basically the same flat fee regardless if you’ve cleaned or not. and so $150 of our deposit never came back. everything is built extremely cheaply, and dog owners love to leave dog waste outside of the front doors. also the day she claimed i talked to dan and told him it was magically fixed i was in california. her asking where we were storing our perishables when the fridge was broken after explaining to her that we had to throw everything was insane. and she offered us a model fridge in one single email, it wasn’t offered multiple times it was that one time after they knew the fridge was broke for over half a month. strongly don’t recommend. the manager and the regional manager love to not answer peoples emails too, so good luck if you need help because they like to hold petty grudges when it’s their fault that they don’t do their jobs
