Why is Forest Hill Village one of Toronto's most desirable neighbourhoods? It begins with the convenience of a simple commute via TTC Subway or automobile south into the downtown business core. Even Highway 401 access is made easy with the Allen Expressway which starts just north. TTC Streetcars running along St. Clair also make the trip east and west a breeze. And, when the work day is done, There's a host of neighbourhood services all within quick walking distance. From a large grocery store and dry cleaners to fine restaurants, casual cafés and a wide range of shops, there's everything you need. Plus, a mere block away is a gateway into the parks of Cedarvale Ravine, its nature trails, bicycle paths and playing fields.

Thought the building would be better

I have lived here for more than five years. The superintendents are pretty good. They try their best, but they need more assistance. I think there is too much work in this building for two people. The garage has been under renovation for years. My last building had twice the size garage and was fully renovated in 1 year. The laundry facilities are good. The location is fine. We find that the "handymen" who do repairs are not specialists, and so anything complicated usually does not get fixed well. The air conditioning system was okay at first, but now we find it quite poor. It does not take humidity out of the air in deep summer. In my last apartment, I found that two good window A/C units performed much much better than this central HVAC system. There's no good reason why the HVAC A/C can't be functioning much better. It would take investment, but it would bring the quality of the building up a lot.

construction forever

large units and good location near the subway. BUT ongoing/never ending noisy construction in the underground section, reduced parking available and have lost the use of the pool FOR MONTHS due to poor maintenance and problems with the construction contractors. Onsite management are RUDE and do not care about the wellbeing of the residents, Maintenance requests go answered and the building has gone down hill in the 10 years I have lived there.

It has disimproved over the years

In the past, the superintendent was conscientious and ensured everything worked properly and was fixed promptly. The new intendants do not put effort into customer service. Maintenance has gone down hill. The HVAC system is dusty and the air conditioning is inadequate. Services that used to be provided have consistently been clawed back over time.
