Security and cameras needs to be increased

Accora Village is a wonderful community with a residential feel. In these days where everyone seems to be glued to a screen of some sort, Accord Village is full of children playing outside and families going for walks - which is nice to see. Bayshore Mall is a 6 minute walk away, bus transit station is in same area that can take you to any part of the city. Any interaction regarding Maintenance has been handled promptly and Accora staff are always quick to answer queries. No regrets moving her from Montreal. If you are looking for a place that feels like home, come home to Accora Village.

Living here for more then a year, and we are expecting this year a new member in our family so requested to move from one to two bedroom apartment although staff advised I would have to give two months notice plus will have to sign a new one year lease and my rent will reflect the current rental and not the previous one. We have already purchased a house with a possession date after 6 months but Accorra Village didn't agreed for month to month lease or rent adjustment. Initially when we moved it was advised that rent will not increase for two years as we moved during peak COVID so thought it might be a promotion but it did increased after one year and it was advised that nothing was documented and they are hearing for the first time about such a promotion. Also our unit comes with in-suite laundry as the primary reason for moving here was we wanted to have in-suite laundry during covid but after moving we found Washer/Dryer was not working which took a long time for them to get a new one after many calls and request. If everything works then it is a good & peaceful place to live, maintenance is good as well but rent is high that is expected.

Hot water takes forever to come.

Pro: - Maintenance fixes issues quickly - Good location - Quiet - Nicely renovated kitchen and bathroom - 24 hour security Con: - Apartment is on the smaller side - Have to pay for hydro while other residents do not - Have to pay for hydro and laundry separately - Air conditioning comes on late and shuts off early during the year - Gigantic windows cause the apartment to reach temperatures as high as 31 degrees celsius in the summer even with air conditioning.
