Maplewood Place

The location is great and love that this is a dog friendly building. But the maintenance is not great. The garbage area is always smelley and blowing everywhere. Just need daily sweeping and or picking up of lose garbage. Getting individual apartment repaired is basically non existent. (unless its a leak or broken appliance) As this is an older building it is very tired and needs an update. I have lived in older buildings before but they were updated and renovated over the years and much nicer to live in. We just want a nice new coat of paint on all the walls/stairwells and some new carpet in the hallways. There are hole in the walls and a door leading into the stair well on the 2nd floor that need repair, this is a fire hazard. I am also sad about the trees being cut down, even I know why.... but the trees we have left still have not been trimmed to save them and get rid of the broken branches. We have had issue in the past with someone stealing packages. It hasn't happened lately....so maybe we are good on this. The laundry facilities are the worst, the machine themselves are not cleaned out properly and have black mold in them. (specifically the washing machines) this is a constant issue and just needs a through clean of the washing machine once a week to fix this.

Great location, clean, safe building. Great location and well cared for.

The size of the apartment is great as well as the people and staff. Parking/rent cost is high considering what it is. I feel that one spot should come with each apartment and charge thereafter or half the cost considering it is not underground. The elevators are constantly down, plumbing in a new apartment is an issue since moving in 6 months ago (newly renovated). That being said, the landlords are very friendly and I do feel heard which helps.

My experience has been meh since I've started living here.
