Mills in a Venetian-inspired style and originally seated approximately 1,400 people. It hosted live melodramas, vaudeville acts, and eventually motion pictures as entertainment tastes changed. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is considered one of downtown Toledo's important surviving entertainment structures. Recently, the property has undergone a major rehabilitation effort: - 15 residential apartments on the upper floors - Restaurant on the first floor - Preservation of the historic exterior Burt's Theatre is considered one of the more significant historic rehabilitation projects in the warehouse and entertainment district. The building sits directly across from the historic Pythian Castle and contributes greatly to the character of the Jefferson Avenue corridor.
