Sherwood Village

I have lived here for years and have watched the property steadily decline. When a new property manager came in, I was hopeful things would improve, but unfortunately, they have only gotten worse. My furnace stopped working, and after they sent a repair company to fix it, I ended up with a gas leak in my apartment that lasted for over a month. The company came out multiple times, finding a new problem each visit, and eventually the gas had to be shut off completely. Now my central air conditioning doesn't work. As I write this, it is 11:55 a.m. and 85 degrees inside my apartment. For weeks, I have been told that a repair technician would be sent out. Last week, I called management on the verge of tears and was assured someone would come on June 8th or June 9th. When I called today to find out what time they were coming, I was told the appointment had been canceled because of unpaid invoices and that they might be able to send someone next week. Meanwhile, the property manager sits in an air-conditioned office, behind a locked door, with a sign stating that no walk-ins are accepted and that residents must call to schedule an appointment. Yet they never miss sending an email on the first of the month reminding tenants that rent is due. To make matters worse, I have been charged an additional $15 per month for renters insurance even though I have my own policy. I provided proof of insurance over a month ago and was told it simply needed to be scanned into the system. Despite having the information, they have charged me for two consecutive months. When I asked about it today, I was told they were focused on "more important issues" and would get to it eventually, all while continuing to charge me. I am extremely disappointed with how management treats tenants, especially those who pay their rent on time every month. I rarely complain, but ongoing issues with heat, gas, and air conditioning have left me with no choice.

This property has gone down significantly. There is absolutely no care for the property nor maintenance issues that are critical. There's never anyone in the rental office and total disregard of tenants needs.

the unit is a nice size but the rent is extremely too high.
