Why Renters Love It Here
Noisey place
Particular apartment is facing Amtrak side. The Edison downtown throws parties almost every weekend with events going as late as 2am. Not for the faint of heart.
Apartment is noisy but allows me to be noisy myself.
This apartment can get noisy, with noisy neighbors blasting their home theater all night, the constant arrival and department of Amtrak a stones throw away. And a busy event hall sharing the same building. This place will not be for everyone. However.. I have no issues of blasting my own stereo until 2am and have gotten use to the train noise. Ear plugs work well. Building is beautiful and provides a nice living space. Cameras are in key areas and gives a better sense of security. Have not had the need to drive anywhere much locally as many places are in walking distance.
Beautiful apartment retrofitted to an 1800s building
Parking is not great as you have to pay during work hours or pay a flat monthly rate. Neighbors and wedding events are noisy. Trains coming through at all hours of the night and early morning. This gives you a license to be noisy if you have a big stereo/home theatre. It takes getting use to, but doable for NYers. People with noise anxiety need not apply. The high ceilings are of an industrious architecture and is a very nice touch. Appliances are of a very good grade. You will hear water gushing through pipes all hours of the day and night. However, the location is great and next to many nice restaurants and bars that many of the locals and college crowds tend to. The train station is very close, the casino is a fair walk away. There is a farmers market either in Proctors theater or in the streets of City Hall every Sunday. The location is great for young couples or singles who like the urban life.
excellent, great
My experience living here has been good. Ive been living here for two years and hope to make it three.
Not maintained well
Not worth the rent being raised hundreds of dollars. Can't get in touch with the landlord.
