I have lived here over 50 years. I love the neighborhood, my apartment and the rent I pay, the people in the building, and the staff. The only thing I don't like, and this I really hate, is the horrendous noise I sometimes have to live with every time the restaurant underneath me decides to hire their DJ, or have a party and play their recorded music so loud, so deafening, that our walls and bed shake and we can't sleep at all. Assett is quite nice about it, with many apologies, and even one night in a hotel room. We've called the police, 311, and political representitives. But our quality of life still contiues to be greatly affected and we're senior citizens.

I have lived here a long time. There is a great disparity in rent prices between market and non-market. Some amenities are only for those paying market. Old-timers are very friendly. Some newcomers are aloof and entitled. That said, it's a good location and pretty building at the heart of the UWS.

Staff are great - super, doormen, - management company less so seems like staff change so often it’s hard to get continuity and information is not passed on…

The building is not treated well and there is an ever-changing rotation of mostly incompetent "security" personnel in the lobby who routinely mess up deliveries, packages, announcing visitors and the like. In addition, due to age of the building and cheap band aid "fixes," we often go without water/hot water. The workers try their best, but don't get the support needed from management who look to cut costs over doing what is right/best. As a result, the tenants suffer, which should not happen anywhere, especially in their "crown jewel" property.
