Very RUDE STAFF

I have been here for a few months. They combined staff for 2 communities and the lady at Village South whose name starts with D is really rude. She is never there to find a solution or be nice she only tells you the rules. Sometimes you listen to your tenants and make few exceptions but she was so mean.

Great, newer apartments

Lived here for a few years and sad to leave. Great location in the bubble of South Reno. Close to anything you need especially access to the 431/341 outdoor avenues. The apartment is up to date and clean while the maintenance team is always available. The offering of pool and other amenities are great to use especially the pool area with the grills. Would recommend to anyone looking. I marked a few for noise as it is still an apartment.

They make a good first impression

I was impressed by the demo unit and excited to move in. Found out the counter top in my unit didn't have the extending top like the demo (extended counter in the demo extended further from the edge). Parking is not great if you have more than one car, but it's very nice to have a garage in an apartment. My gate code and key fob were randomly deactivated and I was blown off the first time I reported it. Being dismissed pretty much tainted any positive image I had of the property. They encouraged us to mount our TV, but after seeing reviews, I saw some people were charged for the holes left and were immediately sent to collections for the bill. I do recall them warning us to be sure to patch any holes as charges would result if not, but to send to collections right off the bat? I hope that was unique to that person. Build quality seems questionable. I'm not a contractor and this is a very windy area, but the corner beads on windows and doorways are separating to reveal the seam (we were sure to take pictures of this when we moved in). You can occasionally feel bumps from the neighbors, which surprised me because I'm upstairs, but it is an apartment, so that's kind of to be expected. I will say that they were very quick to respond to the maintenance requests we've submitted. The person who showed us the place has been very professional and we have no complaints about him (name starts with a J). The in unit appliances are nice and the property appears to be well maintained. I do appreciate the design and in unit laundry). On a side note, I logged into the website to pay rent and this review popped up. I didn't see any "remind me later" option, so this is my submission. I might not have said anything if it hadn't popped up, but I wanted to voice my dissatisfaction if this was my only opportunity (via online).

COVID-19 Amenity Credit

Amenities have been shut down for 2 months and no credit has been offered. I emailed and was ignored. Garages are way too small.

Location is great and clean. Only complaint is the noise. We can hear EVERYTHING that is going on above us.
