124 Adams Street

Made friends with a few neighbors. Im definitely getting overcharged based on the size of my unit and theirs. How a few of them have bigger units and pay less than me Im not sure but its unfair. The fact that rent os so expensive nowadays and we are expected to pay an additional $150 for parking does not make sense to me. Maybe if the rent was cheaper it makes sense but what is it exactly what we are paying for? Laundry machines suck. They are too small to wash a good size pf laundry. Drying the clothes is kuch worse considering you have to dry a load 3 to 4 times to actually dry the clothes. Its an all day/night task. Would be nice of there was a gym or some additional FREE services offered to us considering what we are paying.

Great value apartment . Clean and safe neighborhood.. but no parking

Lack of communication of management is the most disappointing aspect of 124 Adams St

Great place to live. Would be great if the building had some other amenities. For instace there is an area on the main floor when you enter from the parkjnb lot that would make a great gym. Building should add one!

The place is great!, it is a brick built building with recently renovated units, in unit washer and drier, dishwasher and a very fancy feeling inside. The building lacks of other amenities like gym or social areas. Parking is awesome, key in the area because is a bit busy outside. Overall is a very nice apartment, very well located and with great features.

I lived here for about a year. I would describe it as cheap and spacious, but in the end not worth it. It's a studio, and as such, presents many challenges with insulation/cooling/heating and noise insulation. It's a 15 min walk from Newark Penn Station, and close to Ferry St, but generally it's not a safe area to be in. Don't be out after dark. Staff: I talked to my neighbors. Some neighbors have a great experience with the staff (leasing agent, maintenance, etc.). OTOH, we've had a lot of radio-silence, slow or cold responses. Not very enjoyable to talk with them. They're also very difficult to reach (they constantly insist on reaching out through Rentcafe, and otherwise are difficult to get ahold of). Maintenance: generally good. Expect 2-8 days of waiting before they can service issues with your unit. Also, in our case, they had to visit our unit MANY times to fix our AC/heater. Quite frustrating, but they fixed it (somewhat) in the end. Also, be prepared to wake up in the middle of the night/morning when the cleaning staff come and make super loud noises in the hallway, which echoes btw. Amenities: lol, what amenities? Parking: yes there is parking, but good luck getting it, even for a short while, and even if there are empty spaces available.
