Why Renters Love It Here
Staying at The Hillmont
Our time at the Hillmont community in Hillsboro, New Jersey, was bitter sweet. Poor management, lack of parking for guests, amenities never cleaned. Considering the community was supposed to be “luxury”, nothing luxurious about it. The apartment itself was poorly made with cheap paint and cabinets.
VERY DISAPPOINTED
I must express my deep disappointment upon discovering that the pool will be closed on weekdays (Monday to Friday) until June 29th. This means that myself, along with many others in the same situation will be unable to enjoy the pool during weekdays due to our work schedules falling on the weekends. It is disheartening to realize that so many individuals are facing this inconvenience. What adds to my frustration is the fact that I was not informed or made aware of this situation prior to signing a two-year lease and paying $1,200. The amenities provided and services rendered are far from satisfactory, which is truly deceptive considering this was supposed to be a luxurious residence. Furthermore, the NON EXISTING of visitor parking spaces exacerbates the issue. It becomes incredibly challenging for friends and family who come to visit, as they struggle to find a place to park their vehicles in a supposedly upscale facility. This is undeniably embarrassing. I strongly believe that it is crucial for all of us to bring this matter to the attention of The Hillmont's corporate office. Considering the amount we pay for rent and amenities, we deserve better services. If you are also facing this problem and feel that you have been misled, I encourage you to leave a comment and file a complaint with the office.
Average with High Price Tag
Though the community is nice and quiet, the highway is very loud along along with the train. The parking is ridiculous, Each apartment has assigned parking it’s a free-for-all at times when residents have guests come in and there is no parking in front of the post office so the guest believe they can park wherever they find free which then causes the actual resident to not have a spot and not know where to go. For the price of the rent, there is nothing really luxurious about the facilities as you have to. Additionally, pay for going to the gym and the pool looks ridiculously small in ratio of the amount of people that actually live in this community. Not to mention the smoke-free aspect of this community being so important when viewing these apartments however, nearly every day I can smell weed fuming at night. Somehow, additionally, to the rent residence are expected to pay a sewage and water fee each month. I have never experienced having to pay for each amenity separately. Honestly, when it comes to renewing the lease, the only thing that would make me stay is the amount of stuff I would have to move out of this place. The leasing and management are great when it comes to giving information but when needed to touch back or respond to request, they’re never able to be found. Considering the amount of money, our family was willing to invest into renting it really is saddening to see there is no real difference in living in luxury community or average low income one. Just recently I found out that now they do have low income housing being brought into the luxury community which also blows my mind because there are people ranging from paying $3000-$4600 to live in a place that supposed to be brand new and maintained, So to think that applying for a low income housing is an option in the community is really surprising.
Parking
Parking spot is too far from my apartment, no visitors parking available
Lots of things are not really ready
Power fluctuation, badly assembly furnitures, paint marks on the floor and etc. This new apartment gives me an impression that it was build in a rush and lots of things were not well installed and not tested. Plus, it only has one internet option which is inferior than the provider we have used but we dont have other options.
