What others love about this property:
Good value, nice neighborhs
Beautiful apartment. I think the rent is right on point for what you get vs. other places in the area (higher or lower in cost). The inside of the building definitely needs some upgrading. Overall, I am happy that I chose this place. Because of the characteristics of the building (very old) it has a lot of potential but it also comes with other challenges.
128 Broad Street Apartments
I’ve been in my apartment for two years, which was newly renovated when I moved in. I absolutely love the apartment, which is spacious and has high ceilings with lovely wood and tile flooring. Maintenance is the best I’ve ever experienced, Ned is super responsive and has been nothing but helpful since I moved in. He even came to check my oven for me the first time I turned it on (it was new and I’ve never lived on my own with a gas stove) later at night to ease my worry. Most of my neighbors are very friendly, others just keep to themselves which is fine. I do have A LOT of trouble with my upstairs neighbor, who makes a ton of noise and has not ceased even with me trying to approach her via letter/knocking on the door. The noise makes some evenings a bit unpleasant, since it’s hard to enjoy my apartment with the loud banging/music coming through my ceiling. The other downside is no laundry in my unit - this is typical though and I’m able to do it at my boyfriends avoiding having to pay for coin laundry. Also parking can be challenging when school is in session, I wish the parking lot was available year round. I came from Hoboken prior so this has definitely been an upgrade compared to parking there. The girls in the office (including Ned’s wife, I apologize as I can’t remember her name!) are super friendly and nice to talk to when I go in. Overall, I love it here and the area is fantastic so I have signed for another year!
