Why Renters Love It Here

Residents appreciate Sheridan Pointe for its convenient location, offering easy access to essential places. Many enjoy the spaciousness of their units, particularly corner units with extra windows. The new decks are also a well-liked feature. Renters find the property to be reasonably priced for what it offers. The overall quiet atmosphere, despite being near an interstate, is another positive aspect noted by some tenants.

Getting Better

While there is still room for improvement, things have been improving around the complex. Upgrades are being done and repairs sooner than in the past. I think the rent is still too high for a 30+ year old building with what I believe are some of the original appliances in the kitchen.

It's Fine

I've lived at Sheridan Pointe for almost 3.5 years now, and in that time my rent has increased by almost $200/month with little to show for it. New carpet was put in the hallways this year and new decks put on last year, but my unit still has appliances that look original to the building's construction. Now that residents are responsible for paying all their utilities, having 30-year-old appliances that are nowhere near as energy efficient as those made 5 years ago is creating an additional financial burden on us on top of the large rent increases and addition of paying all utilities. Also, setting rent rates by including brand new apartment complex construction that have much better appliances, decor, and other amenities again dumps an unnecessary financial burden on your residents. Comparing them to equally sized apartments built around the same time is fine, but comparing my apartment built in 1990ish to brand new ones in the newest Fargo and West Fargo developments is NOT a fair comparison and rips me off every month. Second, since the management office was removed from the building the maintenance issues have gotten worse and worse. Window screens busted out or broken in several places, exterior doors that don't close properly (again creating more cost for residents from the RUB program), and security locks broken for months are just a few of the issues that plague my building. Regular visits to the building should be done to check the basic functionality and conditions of the doors and windows; resident security should be a top priority for the property management team, and right now it doesn't appear that way. The location is great - close to anything I regularly need to get to - and I do enjoy the new deck that was replaced. Having a corner unit, I'm happy having the extra two windows and the size is awesome. But changes need to be made in order for me to feel like the amount I pay per month is worth it.

Decent

Lived here for a year. The community laundry room is a joke and the washers/dryers are constantly out of service, so get a unit with a W/D if you can. My dishwasher and garbage disposal smell of sulfur and maintenance looked at it but ultimately did nothing to fix anything. But other than that, decent place for the price.

it’s alright

For the price its not bad, but the dishwasher doesnt clean, the hot water runs out fast, and the laundry machines are always broken so you’ll have to buy your own laundry machines. But the neighborhood is alright, and the rent isn’t bad.

Sheridan Point

Lived here since July. Takes a long time to have things fixed even when they say it will be fixed same day. Been liking living here otherwise so far.
