What others love about this property:
Good, more communication
It's a nice location with a lot of character, but sometimes it's difficult getting ahold of property management. Now that we are under temporary management it's been better, but we will see if the permanent staff hired are better at communicating.
Truthful review of our experience
1. First year amazing no problems she even moved to new apartment where it was ok 2. Middle of 2022 is when it started to be hard to deal. 3. The community landlord would pick on my wife who is an minority for no reason blaming her for things she was not doing. To point of we had to move out immediately. 4. If your a minority please just beware before making the move. 5. Maintenance work never got done 6. We even when as far as getting her investigated by clvil rights and housing.
No refunds.
Put down few hundred dollars, security deposit for a studio apartment. Decided i needed a one bedroom, but none were available. They kept my deposit and REFUSED to work with me on getting into a one bedroom instead. WTF? Extremely disappointed!! DO NOT PUT ANY FUNDS DOWN UNTIL CERTAIN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MOVE FORWARD!!
Lovely apartment, not without problems, but would recommend
I have lived here for almost two years. I moved in, sight unseen, during lockdown as I relocated from another state for a job. I have not been disappointed in my choice to move to Grand and Dale. The apartment was built in the 20s and has all the old-world charm you could want: original floors, large windows for plenty of light, beautiful molding, etc. As with everything, there are some issues. associated with the complex. For instance, there has been quite a bit of turnover with managers since I moved in, which has been difficult, particularly with past managers who were not well-suited for the role. (That said, we are currently on our third manager, and she is wonderful - very responsive and accommodating). The washer and dryers in the basement are temperamental, and sometimes it takes a long time to get them fixed, which can be inconvenient. Also, the walls are somewhat thin, so I can hear people above and next to me pretty often, but my neighbors are polite so it's not much of an imposition. In all, I would recommend moving here!
