Quiet Comfort But a Little On The Spendy Side

While i am very pleased with my building and location within the building, I do believe the cost of rent is a bit pricey for a 1BR. Just signed my year 3 lease and was offered only a complimentary carpet cleaning. (No painting update or appliance update and to move to a larger floor plan would still be higher priced). The neighborhood is nice and quiet, and the grounds here are always well maintained. It would just be nice to have offers of upgraded appliances due to the age - especially knowing the 1BR price is as high as any 2BR in other similarly maintained complexes in this area.

We Love It Here!

We've lived here for around a year and have really enjoyed our experience! Both the office and maintenance staff are incredibly kind, patient, and ready to answer questions. The maintenance staff, in particular, are quick to respond if there is an issue and always do a great job. Though the ideal situation would be to have more than one underground parking spot, there are more than enough spots on the surface, even with free parking for guests. Our neighbors are pretty quiet - though there is an occasional noisy person outside, it's not a consistent issue. The walls do a great job of insulating noise; even with families living around us and down the hall, we haven't heard anything! Everyone is nice enough to smile in the hallways and there's usually an option to start a conversation at the pool or gym, but it's never anything that feels pressured. Everyone is also really respectful about leaving packages alone that aren't theirs, which is a relief because the delivery companies don't always bring everything to the secured mail room. The appliances in the apartment are a big plus. We have our own washer/dryer set, which is incredibly helpful for 3 reasons: 1) you don't need to schedule laundry around your neighbors, 2) you don't have to worry about running down the hall to move your things in time, and 3) you don't have to pay for every load! All of the appliances are up-to-date and rarely malfunction. The location is really nice, too. There are a lot of grocery stores, gas stations, parks, and utility stores nearby, which makes shopping a lot more feasible. There's also a dog park on the property - we don't use it much because it's a little secluded, but the sidewalks provide a great alternative for dog walking! We've really enjoyed our stay here and would very much encourage anyone moving to the area to come and join our community here!

We Love It Here!

We've lived here at Shadow Hills for about a year now and have really enjoyed it! The staff are incredibly helpful - from the office staff to the maintenance staff, everyone is kind, patient and always ready to answer any questions. Maintenance always responds quickly and does a really good job every time. Though it would be nice to claim more than one underground parking space, there are always more than enough spaces for everyone on the surface level, even with free parking for guests! We have our own washer and dryer set, which is incredibly helpful because it means that we don't have to worry about scheduling laundry around our neighbors and don't have to pay for every load like you do in some other apartment buildings! We also have a dishwasher, microwave, and kitchen in our apartment - they are all good models and rarely malfunction. The neighbors are usually pretty quiet; obviously there's an occasional noisy person outside, but it's never anything consistent. The walls do a great job of insulating sound; I never thought I'd say something like that about an apartment building! Everyone is pretty friendly in the hallways, pool, and gym, but not in a way that pressures you to stop and talk for 30 minutes. They are also usually respectful and leave packages alone that aren't theirs in cases where delivery companies bring packages to the building doors instead of the mail room. The location is nice, too. The property is extremely close to a number of grocery stores, gas stations, stores and restaurants, making shopping a lot more feasible. There is a dog park available next to the building - we don't use it much because it is a little secluded, but the sidewalks around the building are a really great alternative spot to walk dogs! We have really enjoyed living here and would very much encourage anyone who is looking for a new living space to consider joining the community!
