Crest Oak Coon rapids

The building is peaceful and quiet. The building is tucked back and in a nice location. The office staff has been good to work with. Maintenance has been an issue. Waiting for months and often having to battle with multiple emails to get things fixed. Also the maintenance man, Ray, has been miserable, grumpy and far from friendly. I've also had to repair his repairs myself on several occasions.

Perfect for Individuals/Couples/Small Families w/ Pets!

I've been living here at Crest Oak Apartments for over a year now and renewed my lease for another year! My husband and I got married in June 2022 and wanted to move out to our own place and found Crest Oak Apartments to be the perfect starter apartment for us. We have a dog and just recently adopted a cat and we love how pet friendly the apartment is. It has a little fenced dog area for the dogs to run around and a playground near the parking lot for children to play on. It's in a safe, newly renovated area. They're currently building a community around the area (Currently Sept 2023) so there's some construction here and there but nothing that is really disturbing. Some of my favorite parts of living here: - The building itself is very quiet, minus the dogs who run up to their front doors barking when they hear people walking around in the hallway. The barking isn't all that bad though! You eventually get used to it, sometimes even get concerned when you don't hear the dogs barking haha. - There is a laundry room on each floor. We are conveniently located right across from the laundry room. You do have to pay to use the machines, but there is a machine in the laundry room to put money into your laundry card and you can put money in through your phone as well. - Lots of parking space! It's not a huge building so the parking lot is perfect. I've never struggled finding parking in the parking lot even late at night when the parking lot is filled up. Also lots of lights in the parking lot, as well as a camera by the entrances, so I never feel afraid walking up to the building late at night. - Staff is almost always around and reachable through the office, phone, or email. Maintenance requests are also really easy through the RentCafe website.

Cozy quiet apartment life

I have been living at Crest Oak Apartments for the past six months now and it's been a breeze! It's my first time living in an apartment and I've enjoyed it a lot. For the most part, the apartment buildings are very quiet and everyone tends to themselves. Minus the various dogs barking when you leave your apartment, haha, but that's not a huge deal for me! What I enjoy most about this apartment is the fact that the walls are pretty thick and I can't hear much of our neighbors on the sides of us. With the bedroom door closed, my husband could barely hear me when I'm shouting for him when he's in the living room or bathroom! However, the floors above are a little more audible if your upstairs neighbors chooses to play loud music or if any rennovations are going on-- and the front doors to the apartments are more audible as well (ex. Talking in front of your entry, neighbors could possibly hear you). There is also a lot of storage space with all the closets and shelves the apartment provides. Requesting maintenance is also very easy on their website and they are quick to fix things when needed-- and if they happen to not update you, it's a quick email to the leasing office to get that situatued again. There is a laundry machine on every floor, but if you need to do a large batch, there is a laundry mat only 5 minutes down the road. I recommend living here if you're an individual, couple, or small family with 1-2 pets looking for a quiet lifestyle. It's a very safe neighborhood where many children get dropped off at by school buses. There's many parking spaces in the back of the building and parking available on the street in front of the building. The building is conveniently located near a Caribou Coffee, Speedway Gas Station, and Coon Rapids Dam. I can see myself and my husband living here for a while, at least until we can afford to buy a house ourselves!

Garage/parking

The garages don't have outlets, or lights. Would also be great if the were finished. The parking lot could use better lighting. The hallways are pretty noisy.
