Overpriced

The apartments are nice, but not for the price that you pay. None of the appliances are updated and there is a lot of stuff that seems to be cheaply, built such as the bathtubs and cabinets. It is a quiet neighborhood and I don’t ever have any problems with neighbors or other neighborhood problems, but the price is expensive for what you get. Not enough storage and laundry in unit would be nice.

Living at Briargate Apartments in Portage MI

I've been living at Briargate apartments for 3 years. Overall, it is a nice place to live. It is quiet for the most part. Parking is nice as I pay for a carport spot. The recent updates to the buildings were nice; however, it took a long time for the siding and windows to be installed. The grounds are still a mess after 2 years. Cable lines are still running along the ground around my building and should be hung to the building or buried. I moved some cables that were in the grass so they would not get cut by a lawn mower. I often smell burning of marijuana or cigarettes in the hallways. The cost for a two-bedroom apartment is average and is reasonable.
