I am having a great experience living in the house. It is extremely spacious, and the maintenance team is quick!

The house looks much, much better online than it really is. Appliances are cheap, especially dishwasher. Garbage disposal is worthless. It clogs from something as small as a 1/4 lime peel (it then backed up water and flooded the kitchen). The upstairs shower somehow causes a hole in the kitchen ceiling that must be patched every couple months. Unfinished 3/4 of basement is disgusting. Occasionally, maintenance crews would come to the house without warning, though we got one most of the time. When we complained about electrical wiring issues (power shutting off when using AC), we were blamed for it, even though most of the house is loaded on only a few breakers, which caused them to trip frequently. This made the house get ridiculously hot in the summer/fall, getting above 90 degrees inside some days since using window ACs turned the house's power off. The house is on a main road, so lots of traffic and noise. Bus routes do run down the street, though they barely run on weekends and don't run past 10 PM, so getting to and from campus can still be cumbersome (20 min walk). No central AC, but not enough window units to keep all the bedrooms bearable in the heat (not that you could use them anyways). The utilities must be really inefficient or something, since the electrical/gas bills at this house are ASTRONOMICALLY high (several hundred dollars in December/over Christmas break... no one lived there for 1/2 of the month). Also, it is advertised online that internet is included (it isn't). The covered patio is quite nice, especially after the old screens and door were replaced with windows/new door, and it is nice to hang out out there. I only wish it had an outlet out there. Also, only like 20% of the house's outlets are 3-prong, so you can't plug some things in in most of the house and your electronics are not protected from surge. Overall, disappointing. Most issues could be easily fixed, but it's not worth begging Oxford for weeks just for them to not fix any of it.
