What others love about this property:
Decent apts, close to lots of stores, THIN walls and floors
I've been here for 3 years. I love my balcony and the layout of the apartment. Lots of closet and cabinet space. Unfortunately, it was built cheaply back in the day so there's no insulation in the walls which means I can hear full phone conversations and I know exactly where my upstairs neighbor is at all times by the squeaking of the floor (too bad for me they seem to have insomnia...I am SOOO tired all the time!) I'm in an apartment that's separated from the main complex which means less commotion, but there's a 'party house' in the street next to the complex's fence, which the police won't stop at...even at 1am. There is a Fire Station that has to use the road next to the complex and I understand that can be very loud for many apartments. This place just switched owners not long ago and I think they're trying to make it a better environment. Unfortunately, what they don't know is that the gutters have NEVER been cleaned out. All of the gutters are full of leaves and during rains, there are waterfalls everywhere because the water is overflowing and has actually broken the gutters in some places. This means there is water seeping up the soffits and slowly damaging the roof. The building next to mine always has a deadly slick spot in the winter because the gutter IS broken and drips as it thaws. The puddle then refreezes at night. The complex also can't know that some of the applicants are nasty and will put their trashbags NEXT to the dumpster Without tying them! They also can't restrict residents / non-residents from dumping furniture, mattresses, playpens etc at the dumpsters instead of taking personal responsibility for their stuff (Goodwill?, City Dump?) which means EVERYBODY has to pay to haul their stuff away. It's possible there would be less dumping if they put cameras and/or signs in the parking lots (pricey). Maybe if they started prosecuting, it might make people think twice, but that's also expensive.
After my first year here
I have lived here for one year. It's not bad I really miss my dishwasher..lol What I like most about my community and apartment is its location to the DC Bus line and MGM Casino. I would recommend living here its kept up very well
Parking
Open parking for everyone. Regardless of right documentation or not. Even people from putside the complex from the houses around park in premises. Really disappointing. Since new management came, parking passes were taken out. Even people that only have 2 people on lease. Park all their five cars inside. No organization at all
It's okay
I lived and worked here back in the day for quite awhile , and moved back .Its been 3 years . Just had a little situation with maintenence, but it worked out . Office staff is friendly and do all they can do . Deanna is Great ..Maintenance Supervisor has a lot going on , but will get it done ..Hopefully these generated letters will get right and go to the right people , once it shows rent is paid on portal .
