Pet Breed Restrictions: Akita, Bullmastiff, Cane Corso, Chow Chow, Dalmatian, Doberman Pinscher, Fila Brasileiro, German Shepherd, Husky, Malamute, Pit Bull Terrier, Presa Canario, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Terrier, Wolf-Hybrids and Exotic Animals. We understand that pets are part of the family. That's why your pets are welcome to join our community at Mode at Hyattsville. Pet-screening is a part of the application process for ALL applicants. A welcoming environment is paramount to all of our residents.  To help ensure ALL of our residents understand our pet and animal-related policies, we use a third-party screening service and require everyone to complete a pet profile, a "no pet" profile, or request accommodations for an assistance animal.  This process ensures we have formalized pet and animal-related policy acknowledgments and more accurate records to create greater mutual accountability.  If you are unable to complete a profile online and need help, please contact your housing provider. Pet-screening registration fee is $30.00 annually. A pet deposit of $450 is due at move-in per pet, with a 2 pet maximum. Pet rent is $50/month per pet. Veterinary records are required at move-in and may be requested at renewal.

Our moving in process was pretty easy--we worked with Edna, Rachel, and Sabine--who were all friendly and very helpful. In fact, sometimes when I come back from work, I often want to stop by the office just to say hi because it already feels like home. Our apartment is pretty nice inside, particularly the kitchen-livingroom-diningroom space. Because it's a relatively new building, there are lots of power outlets available, which is convenient. Additional nice features in our apartment are high ceilings, a good heating system, and good cupboard space in the kitchen. Apparently there is new management, and from what I've seen so far, there's a push to provide more opportunities for residents to eat, socialize, and have their residences cared for. Last weekend there was a breakfast gathering, and in the next couple of weeks there's a party for people with pets as well as a Valentine's Day party. Additionally, a new preventative maintenance program has just been implemented--shoutout to Miss Porche Grant for the positive changes she's making here! We're enjoying getting to know some of our new neighbors and we feel good about our move.

I have lived here for 3 years and every year the apartment get worse and worse.

Mode at Hyattsville is a good community, however there are some chronic issues. I have lived there for three years and the fire alarm, main elevators and garage gates constantly break. It is a good value community, but they could increase security and a bit as well.

The Air conditioning doesn't work. ( i don't know if it's a bottom floor problem. in the winter, you can't get the apartment to be warm and, in the summer, you can't get it to be cold. It's sad that you pay this much for an apartment and it's so uncomfortable to be in during really hot or cold weather. Maintanance walks in and out and noting changes.
