At the Gateway Apartments in Gaithersburg, disputed move-out charges were not addressed directly by management. Instead, the balance was reported to a collection agency, which caused major credit damage. What's frustrating is that documentation supporting the charges was later produced through the collection agency after a CFPB complaint - meaning it existed all along and could have been shared before escalating the situation. We were also given incorrect information by staff regarding the refundability of the security deposit, which contributed to confusion and the dispute. If you're considering this property, understand that unresolved disputes may escalate quickly. Protect yourself with detailed photos, written confirmations, and thorough records.

For the price that I’m paying everything is good. I just wish maintenance was a little faster in the parking was closer.
