I've lived in this building for about two years and, overall, it's been a positive experience.
One of the biggest advantages is the location. It's only about five minutes from downtown Winnipeg, just across the Henderson Highway bridge, making it easy to get around the city. The area has plenty of green space, schools, community centres, shops, and restaurants nearby. There are even some great local ice cream spots within a short distance.
The building itself is relatively small, with only 12 units, which gives it a more personal feel than larger apartment complexes. Each suite has its own air conditioning, and having heat and water included is a nice bonus. There's also on-site laundry, which is convenient and saves having to make trips to a laundromat. The property is equipped with security cameras around the building, which adds an extra sense of safety and security.
That said, there are a couple of drawbacks. Because of the nearby businesses and amenities, parking can be challenging during busy periods. The other issue is noise. The walls and floors are quite thin, so it's common to hear footsteps, conversations, and other day-to-day sounds from neighboring units.
Overall, I've found it to be a comfortable and conveniently located place to live. While the parking and soundproofing could be better, the location, included utilities, security features, on-site laundry, and neighborhood amenities make it a solid place to call home.
