Quiet But Some Small Issues

Midland Court is honestly a hidden gem in the Shawnee area. They are great apartments if you can't afford $1000+/month. That said, we have one laundry facility for the 5 buildings and this includes 5 washers and 5 dryers. It's a pet friendly community, but property management will not send a grounds person to replace dog waste bins or refill doggy waste bags. This has been mentioned to them and nothing has been done about it. Maintenance is awesome though ever since Orion took over from Rowan. Some apartments have split-units (heat-pumps) vs. central A/C and Heat. My unit is one of those with the split-unit. I put in a maintenance request because mine was not putting out hardly any heat. I came home from work and the maintenance guy had spent practically all day disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling my unit. It works super well now. :) Previous property management seemed to have a maintenance guy who didn't know what he was doing because I reported the issue and they flushed the intake hose and that was all. Turns out, these units are recommended to be deep cleaned twice per year. The only thing that the resident has easy access to are the filters which need cleaned regularly. Unfortunately each unit only has two large windows - one on either end of the unit. You do not get a private patio or balcony, but the price and location makes it okay in my opinion. All-in-all, I'd say Midland Court isn't a bad spot, but there are definitely some better places if you can afford an extra $200 for rent. Granted there are also much much worse places too.

There isn't much to brag about on the Midland Court Apartmen

Been at Midland 4 years-issues with maintenance and trash pick-up. There was no winter work (moving snow/ice melt last winter)-only thing that keeps me here is the location.
