living here is okay. maintenance does not come often and does not actually fix problems most of the time so you have to ask them to come back or just give up. staff is not super available. great location though. it's nice if you do not have any problems.

This has been a fantastic location both for the price and proximity to Notre Dame's campus. On nice days walking to campus takes around 15-25 minutes, but if you opt to drive or bike to campus it is closer to 5-10 minutes. Trader Joe's is also really close by if you ever want to walk to grab some groceries, and there is a Martin's around 10 minutes away by car. The location is also close to downtown South Bend if you want to walk or Uber over to enjoy the nightlife - I really recommend The Garage and Finnie's. The nice thing about the location is that even though it is close to South Bend, there is not a lot of noise. All of the residents that I have met have been extremely polite, and most of them are also either Notre Dame students or grad students. After talking to my friends living in the area I have also found that the rent is more affordable here than some of the other common locations such as The Foundry or the Pointe at Saint Joseph. The apartments are also very spacious, and the kitchen has plenty of workspace for all you foodies out there.

I've been a tenant at Aurum Apartments for two years. I love my apartment and I've never had any issues here. The apartments are very clean. I've never seen a single insect in my apartment. The staff are friendly, respectful, responsive, and non-invasive. If you don't have a car, the location is ideal. You can be at Notre Dame's campus or downtown South Bend in about 20 minutes if you're walking. My neighbors are quiet. Weekends are a bit noisy, but that should be expected for the area -- especially during football season. I'm also a big fan of the spacious walk-in closet. Thanks to the mailroom outside the office, I've also never had to worry about packages being stolen. Finally, I'm not a dog-owner, but Aurum also appears to provide doggy waste bags outside in the courtyard where the garbage cans are located. Plenty of parking, too.

The apartments are nice and relatively new. Maintenance and management are very bad (especially considering how much you pay). Things take forever to be fixed.

Walls are insanely thin. So thin that sometimes it sounds like there are people in my living room. Which means that my neighbors can also probably hear every little thing I do. Kinda uncomfortable. Also, in-room laundry is an advertised feature but I have not had laundry for two months now.
