Bluestone Community 55+

This next month, Feb. i will have lived here for 1 year! When i moved here i thought these apartmemts were the greatest things to my answered prayers. Unfortunately I was very wrong. This is a 55 and over Community. Yet there were No handrails installed in the bathroom, or the shower. I have almost fell in the shower several times because of being dizzy and Nothing to hang onto! Plus the Toilet Seat was one for a child not for a 55 and over that has knee problems and more! I’m doing this particular Review to be an Advocate for the the voice who all share my same concerns here Bluestone Communnity. I’ve had two incidents where i had visitors and they had not moved there car yet. My visitors had only been at my place for a very short time, but here comes the white manager police truck, she walks up to my storm door , ( my main door is open), so she presses her face on my storm door rings my doorbell and keeps looking in. I go to the door, agitated because i know what she’s there for. She askme what’s wrong? I say nothing. Then she proceeds to give me her police orders about getting that small vehicle moved, now. I tell my visitor and they oblige. I have Epilepsy, so i can’t drive. All my family and friends live quite aways from here. So it’s a real treat when i get any company at all. Both times she ruined it for me, but especially at my husbands Celebration of Life Party. She had me in tears for a long time. That day was supposed to be Special to me. I even told her weeks before i was having it. Most people were in there 70’s 80’s and my mom was just shy of a few weeks of being 90!! They couldn’t walk that distance! Plus things might look nice here, but i can tell you these are cheaply and poorly built. My dad was a tool and die maker and handcrafted many beautiful wood items. I’ve had no animals and things are showing there wear and tear in just one year.

I love everything about bluestone, quiet,safe, and a great place to live. The property manager is great!

Units are very spacious, attached garage perfect, and such a quiet neighborhood. Everyone is extremly friendly and staff is superb!!

After my husband passed away last year, i knew i couldn’t take care of our big home here in Fort Wayne. Someone highly recommeded that i look at these brand new apartments. I had been looking for a couple of months. But i said ok. I can’t drive because i have Epilepsy. So my brother Gary took me out here after i got done with a Dr appt. Oh my goodness, the Leasing Manager, Deborah was extremily nice and compassionate. She took us on tour at one apartment, and then took us took us to 1or 2 more just to show us some differances. I finally decided on one and she asked when i wanted to move in. She made everything so fast and simple for me. I was so Grateful after the year i had after loosing my husband, John to Pancreatic Cancer. I couldn’t wait to start buying some new furniture, some outside Patio Furniture and some small lights to light my walkway. This feels like a Home, not an apartment. And i have wonderful neighbors around me. This defiently is “Home Sweet Home”, for me. Plus i never realized there is this Huge shopping place down the road where i can order my groceries and get them delivered plus a Cracker Barrel, DQ, Mennards and so much more. But my kitchen and bedroom and patio are my 3 favorite places in my home. You should check it out yourself. Trust me, you will be happy you did!

Wonderful Place to live . Manager is a Fabolous . Feels like country living and all is maintenance free. Plenty of places to walk our small dog WE call Bluestone our forever home .

We love our home; the area and shopping are great location. My Mom and I have lived here 1year. We are very pleased with construction, our floor plan and the open concept. My Mother and I chose a 3-year lease and can say this is our forever home. Our property manager Deborah is awesome. Deborah as well, changes furnace filters, snow removal, mows the property, salt the sidewalk's, she has maintained all the new grass, water the new grass add straw. She maintains the office and finds time to do several Residents appreciation days throughout the year as well a wonderful party, Thanksgiving potluck & Christmas party for all residents.
