Add on to terrible review

Maintenence has to be in your apartment just about once a month. Now i dont know about anyone else, but i prefer my privacy. Just another added luxury of living here. Move elsewhere.

Quiet

This is one of the best places I’ve lived. I cannot express how AMAZING the maintenance staff is. Mike and Tom ROCK. The 2 bed 2 bath is spacious. The area is quiet. The neighbors are great and the ones with dogs keep the area so clean- which I appreciate. It is so cozy and it feels like home. You can’t beat the location, 15 minutes to downtown Crystal Lake, 15 minutes to Algonquin Commons.

Too much money and management on highhorse

Wish mgmt company didn't buy out owners. Pricing too high for an old bldg. MGMT on high horse and needs to be put in place big time

1 year lease

We have been here for 1 year- we resigned for a second due to the price increases everywhere else. We have submitted 11 maintenance requests in our first year regarding appliances, furnace, water heater. The appliances are outdated, we have gotten 3 fridge replacements (they kept placing used fridges in our unit that weren’t keeping cold). The used fridges were the only things maintenance had access to at the time. Maintenance is phenomenal, very friendly, they respond in a timely manner. Our sinks and pipes are outdated leaving us with standing water in the cabinets underneath- this has been fixed twice. The washer and dryer are outdated and were what we initially had issues with when we first moved in. This has been fixed twice. The blinds in every room are so badly sun-damaged that they crack off every time we try to open them, these haven’t been replaced since who knows when. Cars speed down Carlemont- I have asked for assistance in putting speed bumps in, they sent out a newsletter as a reminder to slow down. It’s a bigger issue with non-residents. The neighbors are great, it is a quiet area. The location is great, 10 minutes from Algonquin commons, everything you need is right down Randall. All in all, everything in the building is OLD and needs replacing. Maintenance has been FANTASTIC, Mike and Tom you rock. It’s a quiet neighborhood and not a far drive to get what you need.
