No longer a value

I have lived at Swanbrook Manor and loved it until about 3 years ago.. Ownership has changed 3 times over the past few years. Each time rent has risen substancially for the same amenities: no clubhouse, no swimming pool, no playground, no laundry. It is now $1300/mo for my 1 bedroom. I am a senior citizen as are a number of "old timers" and we are being priced out of our ability to pay for our apartments. Yes, Fayetteville is expensive for apartments with the new consrucion and arrival of the movie studios. I didn't move here from California and have bountiful money to move to our little town. I will be leaving as soon as I can find reasonable accomodations far from Fayette County and my friends of 40 plus years. All my medical and church contacts are here. I can hear the cheers in the management office. Another one bites the dust. Now we'll be able to charge the new people more. If I sound pathetic, I understand. I know I'm not venting to anyone really appropriate. However, if you are consider moving here please understand what you are getting for your money.

Small quiet community. Caring staff. Not fancy but makes for a great place to live. Also affordable. Hard to find these days.
