Looks Can Be Deceiving Stay Away from MAA Brandon

Don’t be fooled by the charm during the tour or how nice the apartments look — that’s exactly how they get you. We paid nearly $4,000 just to move in, and on day one, we walked into an apartment that still had fleas in the carpet from the last tenants. That set the tone for everything that followed. Once you sign the lease, the helpful energy disappears. Jennifer in the office is incredibly rude, lazy, and dismissive. She’ll act like she wants to help but never actually follows through. The only person who genuinely tries is Jason, and the maintenance guys are cool too — but even they’re stuck under poor management. Our ESA (emotional support animal) request was denied for legitimate issues like anxiety and depression. We’ve complained over and over about fleas, and instead of doing actual pest control, they blamed our dogs — while still charging us monthly for a service that clearly isn’t happening. It doesn’t stop there:     •    The garage has been burned down since early last year — still not fixed.     •    The pool closes at 8 PM, even in summer, and if you’re caught there after hours, they’ll threaten to kick you out.     •    The water gets shut off almost monthly, and you’re rarely given a heads-up.     •    Rent jumped over $100 after the first year, with no improvements.     •    It’s $60 to add someone to the lease, but $350 to remove them — fees they conveniently leave out until it’s time to cash in.     •    The gates are constantly left open, and the office never follows up unless you call multiple times if ur lucky The apartments themselves? Yeah, they look good. But the second you have a problem, you’ll realize this place is run on empty promises, hidden fees, and zero accountability. If you value your money, peace of mind, and basic respect — do yourself a favor and look anywhere else. MAA Brandon is not it.

People upstairs very loud and water bill to high

Love the apt a few things i would do different but the up keep and the turn around time for maintenance is amazing great job the office staff is amazing too

Horrible experience

Walls and floors are thin no mayter the floor youre on. You can hear ppl beneath you or next to you. Maintence is fine. Notbing is luxury about these apartments that they portray, lets stary with the mold, the cracks and cheap laintong around the place & you can tell they just painted over the last residents because you can see long strands of hair underneath the paint and dirt. We were shown and told that we would be moving into an up to date appliance ready home. All a lie! They had to credit us back some money, they had no choice but to order new washer and dryer because the old ones did not work. Im mainly pissed about the lies, MOLD in windows, lack of privacy and noise. level. Very dissatisfied with these ppl at the office and this price for poorly apartment conditions
