Lucky to live here

I've lived here for two years and Patterson Place is a safe, conveniently located, and well taken care of property. Bobbie and Rigo on the management team kindly and promptly address every concern with immediate solutions and follow-up. The pool, laundry room, grounds, and gym were always clean and in great condition, and any maintenance issues in the apartment were minimal and always solved same day by Carlos. There are frequently generous events and offering by the staff that were fun extras. It can't be easy managing during renovations, but as a resident I never had an issue, as the staff here made it worth it with their great communication and care.

Constant Construction

If you love living in an open construction site then the Patterson Apartments are the perfect place for you. Writing this after our second emergency shut off THIS WEEK for the construction crew bursting a pipe. We were told by mangement that 'exciting' news was coming to Patterson and it turned out to be a year and a half of construction. They were not clear from the beginning the extent of the construction or else we would not have resigned. Communication throughout the process has been spotty. The construction crew are noisy and love to jackhammer - operate heavy machinery before 8am during the weekdays. MY favorite is them operating said heavy equipment within MEER inches of your car. My second favorite is when they installed our handicap accessible able stairs and did not plan nor measure accordingly so we all had a massive gap and random concrete block sticking out of the ground for weeks. They eventually gave us a makeshift bridge. Third favorite is that they completely redid / pave a new parking lot but did not plan ahead for fence posts so they had to drill / jackhammer for HOURS after the face. IF you complain they will tell you that the crew is not use to operating on a property that people still live at.

Decent Place Overall 3.8/5

It's a nice place in a quiet area, but is NOT conveniently located to any shopping centers other than Costco shopping center in Goleta or DT SB. They're working on updating the units and the apartment complex itself, so it's a bit inconvenient due to noise/construction. Neighbors are generally very respectful and welcoming.
