It's a nice area with good space but everytime I have a problem nothing really is done.

The apartment is spacious and has a lot of space in the front yard and back yard. It was also close to the dog park and have trails at the back. It came furnished so it saved a lot of hassle for international students.

the property had several issues that we reported during inspections when first moving in but the work orders never came through so nothing got fixed

I've lived here for three years now. As a student, I appreciate our affordable housing with CSUMB and that water, garbage, electricity and WiFi is included. We are not ready to pay the unaffordable rent prices in Monterey County. I do wish parking was better as my husband and I have two cars, but we make it work. My frustration mostly stems from maintenance not happening during the early days of COVID-19, although I do know everyone was doing their best. I do wish that Family Housing was truly family housing and had less single people living on our street. But I understand that when there is a housing need, you must fill these apartments as you have them. I also wish that family housing/apartments consisted of additional bathrooms. One bathroom for three or four people is not always realistic. I also hope that eventually, our WiFi will be improved. It is often slow and will sometimes go out completely--not good for full-time students. It would be nice to have the ability to "rent" gardening tools to clean up our small backyards--I don't want to spend the money on purchasing tools that I won't use often, or maybe at all when we leave here.
