I have lived here for the past year and I really like the location. it's in a safe area of Berkeley and close to nature. The apartment layout that I'm in is very big and spacious. Maintenance is very quick to fix any requests

Very old building and amenities are outdated. Walls are thin so there is lots of noise. Price quite expensive considering distance from campus and poor amenities.

Paying a rent for a 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms apartment of $ 4,500.00 is too excessive when the door of one bathroom was broken before the move-in and was barely fixed after the maintenance visit, when appliances weren't verified before the move-in (one burner on the stove and the waste disposer weren't connected), when there is a missing baseboard that won't be replaced even after it was pointed out during maintenance visit, when the water blocker of a sink is so rotten (as described by maintenance) that the said maintenance provide you with a small metal net to replace what should normally block water and not filter it, when your freshmen neihbours have savage parties in the middle of the week blasting music during the day and way past 10 pm. I am an international student so I didn't have the chance to visit the apartment before signing the lease. I only had a video posted by one of my current roommate and it didn't shiw all those imperfection. I really feel cheated overall. It only has been 20 days since I moved-in but the problems are just piling up. I don't know if I will be able to endure my whole stay here.
