The perfect apartment

I first saw Skyline Gateway when I was delivering pizzas back in 1989 and loved the location, the architecture, and the landscaping. When I was looking for a place in 2012 I was amazed to find it was in my price range and snapped it up without even seeing the inside of the units. My view of the Catalina Mountains is phenomenal and I love the sounds of the birds in the morning and evening, the occasional owl at night, and the coyotes yipping at the moon. I've been here eight years now and never even consider moving. Skyline Gateway is the farthest complex north into the foothills and all the others down the hill at Sunrise have nowhere near the view or the wildlife. We are right across from Skyline Country Club and I like to joke that I get the same view for a tenth of the price they pay on their houses. ;-)

Great Place to Live

There are a couple of improvements this complex could make for its tenants. For one, the laundry machines are out-dated and small. Not a big issue, but it's inconvenient to have to wash small loads one at a time. The dryer also takes multiple cycles to get everything dry. Another thing that could be improved are the carports. If they could install carports that are held up by posts in only the back of the port, it would make parking SO much easier! Not a huge inconvenience, but it would make a world of difference if done. Lastly, and I'm not sure if this is just our apartment neighbors being loud, but you will hear just about everything going on in the apartment above you. Again, this may just be our neighbors being loud. If the items above aren't deal-breakers for you, then you have found the PERFECT place to live. Neighbors are all friendly and the staff is absolutely wonderful. The amenities are fantastic; the dog park is huge, the grills are great to cook on, and the pool is awesome. The land is well-maintained and I love that our property is gated. The location of this complex is a straight shot to just about anything in town, yet is far enough out of town to feel absolute peace at night away from the city. Multiple hiking trails are less than a mile away, food and groceries are just down the road, and having the mountains as your backyard is always breath-taking to come home to. If you have the chance to live here, you should.
