Good but not great

The location is amazing, the property is nice and the grounds are well kept (Around the office and model properties mostly), the rest of the grounds are nice but not as well manicured as the area around where they tour. I will say, it appears they have made an attempt to improve this. As for the apartments themselves, they are old, outdated and in desperate need of an overhaul. My faucets, fixtures and cabinet doors are falling apart. Stuff is just old, its gotten more than its use and needs replacement. The counters are painted to hide the ugly and old formica counter tops. The laminate has worn off exposing the particle board underneath which has been damaged by water over time. The appliances are old and the overall look is just dated. I do love the size of the closets and height of the ceilings but the outside noise feels like the windows are wide open. Especially when the lawn maintenance service comes at the crack of dawn with their obnoxious gas powered leaf blowers and trimmers, typically spending 1-2 hours a few times per week right outside your window. Why these things are still legal is beyond me, they pollute 8x more than a car and the noise is enough to make you crazy. Rent is not outrageous but also not cheap. After all, it is Scottsdale and the area is wonderful. The staff are friendly and the residents seem nice. The gym is an absolute joke. Half the equipment doesn't work or function like it should, half the weights are mismatched or missing. Its like a cheap 1980's gym that no one has bothered to maintain or update. The pool areas are nice and well kept. Overall, its not a bad place to live, it could just use some updating

Luxury is a stretch

Appliances and amenities are not what I would call "luxury", more average to sub par...come on the oven has no window and my grandmother has newer washer/dryer/dishwasher than here. I am not exaggerating and she has lived in her home for 40 years! The walls/windows are thin and lacking insulation, I can practically hear my neighbors conversations, even with windows closed, then it is just muffled. Location good and staff are exceptional Layout of apt is good and parking is also good. It has served its purpose for the most part.

Okay

Peaceful community with excellent, fast maintenance and clean, well-maintained grounds. Office staff has always been friendly and helpful. For the area the apartments are in, the rent is probably the most "affordable." But that means the units themselves are outdated and cheaply constructed. If you really like the area and don't mind the annoyances of an old apartment, then it's pretty good. Cabinetry/etc. is kind of falling apart, appliances are pretty old but they work. plumbing isn't so good and the water gets turned off for one reason or another every couple months because of some repair that's needed. To be fair, anything that does break that I decide to submit a maintenance request for is addressed within 24 hours with a follow-up from the office to make sure everything's okay. Neighbors are friendly and quiet, everyone seems to be on regular work schedules or retired. All in all it's comfortable, quiet, and safe.
