Renter BEWARE. Unfair rental practices
Water billing unfair before new billing system we payed $60. A month for water with 3 people living here. Now we are just 2 people and we are paying over $150.00 with unlimited cost increases at any time meaning they can charge you whatever when ever and claim this is completely fair like it or not and if not there's nothing you can do about it we made sure. WAIT THATS NOT ALL they also control your internet service. you are required to except their internet service provider and pay for it rather you want internet or not. price $55.00. We tried to cancel it because we could not afford it anymore do to their communist water billing system. We're seniors on fixed income and hurts alot but they could care less. There response was we got great attorney's and they made it possible to do this. So we're perfectly within our rights. When you call corporate office nobody will return your call. They hide behind the threat of attorney's. ALL WE ARE ASKING IS PLEASE BE FAIR. but all they care about is how much more can we squeeze out of these poor deplorable people. According to the manager they want to increase the WATER BILL again after a $50. Increase at the fist of the year. Probably another $50. We will have no choice but to break our lease and move.
Over priced Socialist water billing system
Riverhouse forcing tenets to pay for repairs wasted water leaks though out entire system. They do not respond to leaks in a timely manner. I see several places been leaking for 2yr. I guess it is not that important to them because they're not having to pay the bill. $150. Month for 2 people a month. I call B S

The updates were not the same some apartments better than others.
socialist utility billing
We have lived here just over a year, when we first moved in we paid $62 a month for water to the water company. Now Riverhouse took control of water payment meaning we now make payment to Riverhouse. We now are paying $140.00 + a month for water. They say they take total water bill and times it by number of units and that's what you pay. Meaning they get a water leak somewhere on the property, fill the swimming pool, arrogate the grass etc. the tenants pay for it. meaning now there's no rush no incentive to fix a leak when it happens and it does happen a lot. Now for internet. when we first moved in we paid $45.00 a month to OUR provider for internet service. It is now $90.00 a month paid to Riverhouse for Internet service, and now that's your only choice if you want internet service, no freedom of choice. Take it or go without.. This is called forced Socialism billing, live and practice right here in the heart of Red and Conservative beloved ALABAMA. Never though I would see the day.. Needless to say we will not be resigning our lease.. Shame on you Riverhouse Apts and your corporate communist.
