I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to address a recent issue I experienced while attempting to pay my bill on December 31, 2025. During this process, I was made aware of hidden or undisclosed insurance charges on my account, as well as a concerning response I received when seeking clarification. Specifically, I discovered a discrepancy between the amount I was billed and the amount I was expected to pay. I was informed of a $16.00 insurance charge that has apparently been in effect since October 2024. However, I was never notified of this charge, and moreover, I already maintain renters insurance through State Farm. When I raised this issue with your local representative, their response was curt. I was told that resolving this matter was entirely my responsibility, and my payment was refused unless I paid the full amount quoted by the representative—even though this amount did not align with my bill. During this one-sided conversation, I expressed my frustration and mentioned that perhaps I should consider other housing options given the lack of transparency. To my disappointment, the representative’s response was simply, "Maybe you need to." I have greatly appreciated the service provided over the years and have valued my time as a tenant. However, this experience has left me feeling disappointed and undervalued. As a result, I am now actively exploring new housing options. I wanted to bring this matter to your attention, as I believe transparency and respectful communication are critical to maintaining trust and positive relationships with tenants. I hope this feedback will help improve processes for others in the future.

I have loved living in traditions. I have lived in the same building in the same apartment for six years. It very much feels like Home. And I feel extremely safe here. Could not have made a better decision about where to live in Gulf Shores.
