North offers strong leadership to ensure academic readiness for the future. There is also a strong rec program matched with great coaches who really care. There is very little bullying, and being a smaller school helps maintain a strong feeling of community. Overall this is a great place to learn and grow!

I graduated in 1984. Our son went there in 2014 and the ipads ruined his experience. Boys get sidetracked easily, and when the kids are allowed to play games in Algebra class they usually don't succeed. Colleges weren't pushed on the students. Our son left North after his Sophmore year with a 2.45 GPA. His first full semester at Catholic Memorial High in Waukesha he achieved a 3.72 GPA, one full point higher! There are no I-pads at CMH.

I am a 1992 graduate of North High School. I had an awesome experience! The teachers and staff were excellent.

While the teachers at North are wonderful, it is the teaching methods they use and the employees in the main offices that really bring the school down. The introduction of Flipped classrooms had made learning extremely difficult. Those who are placed in a Flipped classroom were not given the choice and have to be placed on a waiting list in order to be again placed in a traditional class. The introduction of the iPads to the school has created even more difficulties, as they are confusing to operate and most students, if not honestly all, merely use it as a tool to play games and waste time in class. Academic Options merely teaches 5th grade math, which does not help those truly struggling. Academic Excellence is really just a big waste of time, and the majority of students agree. So while the teachers at the school (save a choice few) are wonderful, the administration do not understand the needs of the student body and the school seems to want to push technology and new ideas rather than the needs of the individual students. The iPads really have only decreased the education quality of the school. If one wishes to leave class, they must use a disgusting communal bathroom pass. Ew.
