I'm a student at this school and I will say it's not a terrible school. Some of the teachers are really nice and genuinely care. The school, however, is lacking in many things:Arts. The arts program is laughably small. The high school band has 4 members in it, which isn't to fault the director who is amazing, but it's the fact that the school gives far to little towards the arts program. The choir is okay but it's not pushed to it's potential. I have not experienced the current 2D/3D art program but I've heard its very good. The biggest problem is funding. The majority of upgrades done to the school has been to the gym and sports programs. The athletic program has spent 3000 dollars so far in one year to upgrade jerseys. The arts program gets 0 dollars per year in discretionary funding. All of the teachers in the arts program are very passionate about their classes, but they just don't get the attention that is needed. Academics: This school is not easy. This may be a good or a bad thing to some but it's a hard school. The teachers are more than willing to stay for hours after school to work with a struggling student, though. The teachers also don't let anyone get away with not trying, they will push you until you work to a passing grade. The MAPS program is great, it forces students who are not doing well academically to work harder whether they like it or not. The science and geometry teacher is outstanding in her classes. She makes them bearable even for students who hate those classes. The English teacher is great and has a passion for teaching. The current bible teacher is fun while keeping the class going, and the new history teacher is vastly better than previous teachers. All in all, if you are looking for a challenging school, go to valley. All in all the school is a great experience but there is one glaring issue, the school, although being named a christian school, does not feel christian. All of the faculty are amazing Christians, but the students hearts are not with God. I have seen relentless teasing and bullying after repeated warnings to stop and nothing is done except for warnings. Chapel worship is non-existent. The worship team members are the only ones singing. The bible classes don't teach how to apply the lessons we're taught.

School is for the academic elite only. We sent all of our kids there with no issues but when we had one struggle with academics they let him fail and we had to leave. Very discouraging when you spend good money over years of education and they just say"goodbye" when it suits them. Be very wary of the Christian tag, much bullying and inappropriate behaviors abound. Bottom line, not Christ like but very high education standards.

Our family has been blessed by VCS. I feel that because of its small size it is a family. It is limited in what it can offer students because of it's size as well. Over all, we love it.

My grandchildren attend Oshkosh Christian School and we are delighted with the education and experiences they have had. We especially love that their Christmas program celebrated Christmas in a Christian manner without fear of insulting anyone!

The best decision we ever made was to send our kids to VCS. Very happy with the academic standards and blown away by the quality of the elementary teachers. My children's teachers love them and speak biblical truth into their lives, complimenting what we teach them at home. When weighing the pros and cons of a big school vs. small school, I'll take the pros of small class sizes and family atmosphere every time.
