There are many people who have had good experiences at LCL. While there are some good and supportive teachers, our experience with a few were that they were rather hostile and defensive. A small school can be great but when it becomes a bubble were unacceptable behavior by the teachers and administration is viewed as OK, it becomes a problem. We were looking for a Christian experience and quite frankly were taken aback by the conduct of not the students but some of the staff. They either need to do some replacing or reeducating. It may be the right place for your student but if we had to do it over again, we would not have sent our student to LCL.

My husband and I feel so blessed to have found this incredible school! We have 3 boys that have/ or are attending this wonderful school that we call family because of the teachers and community. Our boys have been taught not only the basics, but to be critical thinkers, compassionate, and caring individuals. They can problem solve and are motivated to do their very best in everything. This school has prepared our boys for not only life, but eternal life with our Heavenly Father. I could not recommend it more.....

great teachers. They really care about your child and their education. College counseling could be improved a bit.

The person who gave the one star sounds like sour grapes. My son will probably attend this school next year. All I have ever heard from parents is positives. My daughter who attends AHS says she knows kids that go there and the work is challenging. I am giving 4 stars in all areas because of what I have heard and seen so far and the site requires it. If I am wrong, I will come back to correct my review. I am so glad to hear the teachers are friendly. My child has had a few that make me wonder why they ever became teachers in the first place. He has also had some wonder teachers who I am very grateful for. I am curious if this person ever went to the public high school. The quality of teachers is truly hit or miss and when they do miss it is in a bad way. For example, let's test you on what I have never taught you. Go look it up on the computer. I dont have time to respond to parents emails. Maybe LCLH isn't so bad!

This school is terrible. The teachers are great people if you are looking for friends. If an education is desired, don't go here. This school shelters your child from everything imaginable, except drugs. The student body isn't perfect just because they attend a Lutheran/Christian school. This school shelters your child from hard work, consequences, and will not prepare your student for life in the real world. This school charges an insane amount for tuition (over $9000) seeing they offer very very little class selection. If you attend there the full four years, you will have maxed out all of their courses. Public schools provide a much larger course selection as well as more AP (Advanced Placement) courses. LCL does not prepare students for college and has very weak teachers. They are great people and they make great friend, but $9,000+ is a lot to have to pay to have friends. The school is all about the building. A new building doesn't improve the school's ability to provide quality eduction. The old building in Oconomowoc was perfectly fine. Parents aren't aware of the lack of education being provided because the teachers here give out good grades. Stay away from this school!
