We loved this school! Sadly, we recently moved out of state, and I have yet to find a private school as wonderful as WIS. We had a child in preschool and one in the elementary school and the teachers were excellent! I wish I could have transported this school with me when we moved. The smaller class sizes offer the children what I consider a "tutored education" with a lot of individual attention. Most families in the US are paying anywhere from 15-25k for a good private school for their children. I cannot believe what you can get at WIS for the price you pay. It's such a great deal!

We chose WIS because we didn't want a small religious school, but one that was committed to education. My children are both attending, and are eager and joyful for school everyday. The curriculum here is outstanding, my youngest (3 years old) is learning how the circulatory system works! Thanks to the IB PYP (WIS is the first to independent school in WI to have it), I feel confident my children are actively engaged in their studies. The small class sizes give each child the opportunity to learn, and for the teacher to set up an individual learning system with a child if needed. The foreign language program is OUTSTANDING. Young elementary students were able to beat high school students in high levels of Spanish at a speech contest. The Mandarin students did equally as well, and recently took a class trip to Beijing. WIS lives to its standards, as many of this years 8th graders will be attending all honors classes in high school. They also scored extremely well on the math and science portion of the explore test, which is known to show students doing not so well in. As a parent, I would definitely recommend for anybody curious to take a look.

Exciting academic offering outside of the state and federally funded public schools and religious sponsored private schools. How cool is it that in Green Bay, WI a global-minded independent school is available. The 1st independent IB accredited world-school for 3K-5th grade (PYP program) in the state of Wisconsin. Many challenges are present for all schools, but the small class size has allowed our child to excel. Very cool to see elementary children singing and speaking in Mandarin or Spanish. Given 5 days a week by native speakers helps the language immersion process. Definitely it is not for everyone, just like any institution. But when elementary kids compete with and outperform high school students that are physically larger and older, the academic program must be challenging. In the most recent Explore test, 83% of the 8th graders will be placed in honors classes for English, Math, and Science. Four of our seven students scored 100% in both Math and Science. WIS students are daily exposed to rigorous academics, global-mindedness, embracing diversity, and community service.

Finally a school option in Green Bay for gifted learners! My children were bored silly and wasted much of their day in our local public schools. They are now engaged, challenged and inspired by a truly academic curriculum and great teachers who motivate. The math is at an accelerated level, they are reading thought provoking material and they are writing, writing, writing! If you want your children to succeed in high school, participate in honors classes/AP classes, this is the school you need to be at! WIS prepares students well.

I am a former parent : 1) small class size works well for slow learners, it does not work for smart kids because the extra teacher time gets absorbed by discipline and bringing the slower kids along. 2) The children are not challenged. This shortchanges the children twofold: a) it damages their confidence and b) it leaves them not learning the essential skill of thinking for themselves. 3) The homework load is minimal and there is always time given at school to finish homework instead of using the time for instruction. 4) socially it is very difficult for kids due to the minuscule size of the school. They have no choices whom to be friends with. In addition should a child have trouble with another kid, that child is constantly confronted with its taunter, making school a social nightmare. 5)The foreign language program is excellent, but the core subjects are lacking. I.E. 5th grade math did not teach % calculations last year. In English the kids hardly wrote at all, a grave error, since writing is a skill learned by doing, and to a lesser degree by reading. 6) all of my children had to catch up academically after leaving SUMMARY: not worth the expensive tuition
